Hi all, I am back from

03/30/08 06:51 AMJust a small note to let all know that I
do have the DX Cluster online here at
aa6qn.sytes.net (telnet to port 7300). I
also have it working with both SEE and
SAW nodes. KN6IQ tells me there is a
timeout in about 10 minutes (looking
into that).

I remember reading a story once about a man who was exploring some caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled up some clay and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man so he took the bag out of the cave with him.
As he strolled along the beach, to pass the time, he would throw the clay
balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could throw.

One windy spring day, I observed young people having fun using the wind to fly their kites. Multicolored creations of varying shapes and sizes filled the skies like beautiful birds darting and dancing in the heady atmosphere above the earth. As the strong winds gusted against the kites, a string kept them in check.

 A PERSPECTIVE ABOUT OLD BARNS
Only years of standing in the weather, bearing the storms and scorching sun only that can produce beautiful barn wood.
A stranger came by the other day with an offer that set me to thinking. He wanted to buy the old barn that sits out by the highway.
I told him right off he was crazy.
He was a city type, you could tell by his clothes, his car, His hands, and the way he talked. He said he was driving by and saw that beautiful barn Sitting out in the tall grass and wanted to know if it was for sale. I told him he had a funny idea of beauty.

 STILL HE WALKED
He could hear the crowds screaming "crucify" "crucify"...
He could hear the hatred in their voices,
These were his chosen people.
He loved them,And they were going to crucify him.
He was beaten, bleeding and weakened...
His heart was broken,But still He walked.

 You Took My Place
One day a man went to visit a church. He arrived early, parked his
Car, and got out. Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told
Him, "I always park there. You took my place!"

Below is a powerful testimony of Alan Ryden, whose boat capsized in the freezing seas of Alaska last November, and was rescued after 10 hours in the water when his fishing boat rolled over in a storm. Alan is a pastor in Kokiak, Alaska and Kathie Walters briefly mentioned his rescue in one of her recent words posted on the ElijahList (click here to view). We wanted to post the entire testimony for our subscribers to read firsthand the miracle-working power of God which Alan experienced.
With all honesty, one of my favorite ways to teach on hearing and learning from God is this--hear from Him, apply what you've heard, and watch what happens. Alan came to our own local pastor's conference hosted by the ElijahList and Vineyard Christian Fellowship. When Alan had his life up for grabs, he practiced the power of believing and trusting in God--based on what he had learned. I encourage you to read Alan's miracle rescue and testimony. We can all learn from his experience and apply the power of trust and belief in God in our own lives as Pastor Alan Ryden has learned in his.
Blessings,

 (Forwarded from Cheryl)
One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
The young woman had a very rough past involving alcohol drugs and prostitution. But the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry teaching young children.

 A Keeper (Forwarded from Loxey)
Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived
barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat
and Mom in a housedress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the
other. It was the time for fixing things. A curtain rod, the kitchen radio,
screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep.

DO YOU CARRY YOUR UMBRELLA? (Forwarded from Cheryl)
We all have something to learn from this young girl.
As a drought continued for what seemed an eternity, a small community of
Farmers was in a quandary as to what to do. Rain was important to keep their
Crops healthy and sustain the townspeople's way of life.
As the problem became more acute, a local pastor called a prayer meeting to
Ask for rain.
