IN GOD WE TRUST!!

Thinking of God Stories to share[Forwarded from Al Fields]

This is the best idea I have heard in a long time. I am going to do this.
Please join in.

IN GOD WE TRUST!!

US Postal Idea !!!!
We are a society that has become lukewarm. God help us if we allow the
minority to continue dictating to the majority. There were less than 30,000
atheists who took prayer out of the schools. 30,000 imposing their will on
200,000,000...that's just wrong.

What goes around comes around

Thinking of God Stories to share[Forwaqrded from Cheryl]

The man slowly looked up. This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer
things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like that she had never
missed a meal in her life. His first thought was that she wanted to make
fun of him, like so many others had done before.

'Leave me alone,' he growled.

Thinking of God Stories to share[Forward from Cheryl]
Rick Warren (REMEMBER HE WROTE 'PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE'). You will enjoy the new insights that Rick Warren has, with his wife now having cancer and him having 'wealth' from the book sales. This is an absolutely incredible short interview with Rick Warren, 'Purpose Driven Life ' author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California.

In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:

People ask me, What is the purpose of life? And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.

Facing River of Difficulties

Thinking of God Stories to shareFacing River of Difficulties (Forwarded from Cheryl)

A very tired traveler came to the banks of a river.
There was no bridge by which he could cross. It was winter, and the surface
of the river was covered with ice. It was getting dark, and he wanted to
reach the other side while there was enough light to see. He debated about
whether or not the ice would bear his weight.
Finally, after much hesitation and fear, he got down on his knees and began
very cautiously to creep across the surface of the ice. He hoped that by
disturbing the weight of his body, the ice would be less apt to break under
the load.

ONE OF THE BEST STORIES I'VE EVER HEARD!

Thinking of God Stories to share[From Joan Foresman]

ONE OF THE BEST STORIES I'VE EVER HEARD!

As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of
school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked
at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However, that
was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was
a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.

Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did
not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and
that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be
unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take
delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and
then putting a big 'F' at the top of his papers.

The Yesterday's of Life

Thinking of God Stories to share[Forwarded from Cheryl]
From: "Marcella Porretta" <marcellaporretta@rogers.com>
Subject: The Yesterday's of Life

The 'yesterdays' of our lives were not so busy as life seems to be today. Times were simple, and so were the lifestyles of people. Yet, there was always time not only the Lord, but also for one another. Everybody truly was "somebody" in the Body of Christ, from the youngest to the oldest.

Many evenings were spent visiting with neighbors. It was not unusual to join in a circle of prayer and ask God's blessings on families, friends, and our country. There were no expensive video or computer games. But instead; children enjoyed catching lightening bugs or playing tag and other games outside until the sun went down.

Magnolias

Thinking of God Stories to share Neither He who plants, nor he who waters is anything; but only GOD who makes things Grow.'
Eph 3:21
Magnolias

I spent the week before my daughter's June wedding running last-minute trips to the caterer, florist, tuxedo shop, and the church about forty miles away.
As happy as I was that Patsy was marrying a good Christian young man, I felt laden with responsibilities as I watched my budget dwindle . . So many details, so many bills, and so little time. My son Jack was away at college, but he said he would be there to walk his younger sister down the aisle, taking the place of his dad who had died a few years before. He teased Patsy, saying he'd wanted to give her away since she was about three years old!
